I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch of the 19th instant, informing me that you had received a despatch from the Hongkong Government requesting me to produce without delay the further evidence against the three men, Liang Lu Yii (alias Cheng Sam) and Chu A shih, and
I have to state in reply that I have directed Colonel Alabaster to take with all speed trustworthy witnesses in the other cases against these men to Hongkong.
